Over the last five years I have had the pleasure of drinking, eating, partying, dancing, conversating and djing at the latin lounge and cocktailbar, Barbarellah.
Situated conveniently close to the center of Copenhagen, this joint features worldclass cocktail, generously poured, stirred, crushed and shaken to utter delight.
The latino infused kitchen features a variety of goodies including, but not limited to, the classic hamburger combo. The kitchen is opened until midnight and its possible to book in advance.
Barbarellah features live music every thursday from two housebands, either The family or Al Agami rap rehab band.
They throw down some funky jams and souly grooves freely incorporating paraphrases of classics as well as their own material.
The admission is free , and as I write this, the livemusic has got to be the best kept secret in Copenhagen though the nights have been running for a year. There is always a dedicated and enthusiastic crowd of locals as well as after work types looking for cozy surroudings to dine in.
